You can replace the Galaxy J6 (2018, J600) battery yourself using the step-by-step instructions below. This model belongs to the category of inexpensive Samsung phones next to the J3, J5 and J7 series.

Inside the Galaxy J6 there is a 3000 mAh battery, which lasts about three years in normal mode. However, problems do occur with it - the smartphone quickly discharges, does not hold a charge well, or does not turn on at all when the battery is worn out or damaged. Replace it if you have doubts about its functionality, follow these instructions

To safely disassemble the Samsung Galaxy J6 (2018), discharge the device to 20-25% and turn it off.

• Remove the SIM card and tray so that they do not interfere with the process.

• Use a hair dryer to heat the adhesive between the front panel and the base of the case.

• Heat the device from the front for 20-60 seconds, distributing the heat evenly.

• Do not overheat the LCD panel at one point! Otherwise it will be damaged.

Do not hesitate and install a thin plastic tool (a pick or a sharpened plastic card) into the gap between the screen and the body.

• As soon as the gap increases, fix it with a second tool (an additional pick or card).

• Continue to separate the joint with sliding movements - in difficult situations (when the glue sets again), add more heat to this place from the hairdryer.

Be careful when separating the bezel from the body as you risk damaging the edges of the screen.

• Pay special attention to corner areas.

• Do not push the tool too far in; there is a risk of damaging internal components.

• Once the entire perimeter of the joint has been separated, hook the bezel at the top area and open along the bottom edge.

• DO NOT remove the front panel - the screen inside is connected to the system board with a cable! Simply rotate the screen as shown in the image (180°).

Using a nylon spatula or its equivalent (a pick or card will also work), lift the small cover on the screen connector and remove it.

• Also, pick up the screen cable connector and disconnect it.

• Remove the front panel completely.

There is a large metal plate on the inside of the case, which is secured with Phillips screws.

• This is the inner frame of the smartphone, on the reverse side of which (it is hidden from our eyes) the battery is located - our task is to separate it from the cover.

• Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove 20 screws.

• Use a spatula or pick to pick up the inner frame (the metal plate is only part of it) and push it out of the lid.

• Be careful when pressing the frame - it is better to pry it in the lower right corner, and then in the center.

• Remove the frame completely.

After removing the inner frame, turn it towards you with the bottom side - you will see the battery.

• Disconnect the battery power cable plug at the top right of the battery.

• Pry up the battery case using a nylon spatula or any thin, non-sharp tool (so as not to pierce the casing).

• Remove the battery from the seat (this procedure should not cause any special obstacles).

Install a new battery in the Samsung Galaxy J6 (2018, J600) to replace the old one and reassemble the device in reverse order. Before assembling the front panel, check the assembly for functionality by connecting all cables. If everything is fine, then apply glue to the front panel where it was provided by the manufacturer - just don’t forget to clean off the remnants of the old glue. Glue the front panel to the body for secure fixation.
