Canon cameras are equipped with a self-diagnosis function.
If there is a malfunction in the camera, an error code is displayed on the LCD display.
In the vast majority of cases, the cause of the malfunction can only be eliminated in a camera repair shop. However, before going to the workshop, it would be a good idea to do the following operations:
After this operation, all camera functions will be set to factory settings (factory default). If the error code continues to be displayed on the display, you should contact a workshop where Canon cameras are repaired.

Despite the fact that the material contains codes for outdated models, their decoding is also relevant for modern Canon digital cameras, both the IXUS and PowerShot lines, since the operating principle of the self-diagnosis system has changed little. With the development of photographic technology, the introduction of new components and circuits into digital cameras has practically led to an increase in error code values. For example, error code E32 in Canon ixus 100, 115, ixus 130 digital cameras is displayed when the optical image stabilizer in the lens malfunctions.
