If you have problems starting the receiver, it is worth carrying out several checks to eliminate some serious reasons why it refuses to work.

• Power supply. Make sure that the extension cord or electrical outlet is not damaged and that there is current at a stable and sufficient voltage. Connect the TV device to a different outlet, and double-check the current power source using other equipment, such as a phone charger or a lamp.

• Cables. A common cause is a disconnected plug or damaged TV cable. Problems may be related to both the power cord and the HDMI cables that connect the receiver to other devices. Check the condition of the wires (plugs and insulation), straighten the bends or replace the cable.

• Remote control and local keyboard. If the TV does not respond to the remote control and does not turn on, check whether the device will start by pressing the button on the case. Make sure the remote control keys and keyboard are not blocked or dirty. It is also worth checking the batteries in the remote control and replacing them if they are dead.

Another DIY method for restoring RTV equipment is to reset the power and reboot it. You will find detailed information on how to perform an “emergency start” of the TV in the equipment manufacturer’s instructions.

Typically, to do this, you should disconnect the device from additional devices (video player, set-top box, antenna, home theater). Next, unplug the power cord from the outlet, wait 1-2 minutes from the moment the LED turns off, and reconnect to the power supply. After turning on the TV using the remote control or the button under the screen (or on the rear panel), the device should restart itself after a few seconds.

Sometimes the reason the TV does not turn on is due to a malfunction of other equipment that is currently connected to it. Therefore, it should also be rechecked.

1. Inverter malfunction, including:

short circuit of the power supply;

burning of capacitors;

blown fuses.

2. Faulty software:

suspended "Standby Mode";

incorrect update.
