During the operation of the German AEG refrigerator, one of the emergency situations may arise. Using the display, the refrigerator system will report a detected malfunction of your refrigerator using an error code. As a rule, a description of the errors is in the instructions, but if you do not have the operating instructions, then read the error table below:
Error code | Description |
Code F1-F2 | Thermostat is faulty |
Code F3-F5 | Temperature control sensor is faulty |
Code "-" | Cooling system malfunction |
Code "?" | Thermostat system error |
Code «º» | A small square means a problem with the evaporator sensor |
The main causes of refrigerator noise
If a constant noise appears during operation of the refrigerator, then this is a reason to seek help from a specialist. You should not ignore extraneous noise, as it causes discomfort and can lead to failure of the compressor or other important equipment components.
The refrigerator gets very hot
The condenser-heat exchanger is responsible for heat removal. In older units it is located at the rear, in modern models it is located in the side walls. The compressor operates at intervals. During operation, the equipment body may be warm. This is a normal phenomenon and indicates that the refrigerator is working properly. Heating the housing is one of the stages in the cooling process of the working space of a refrigerator or freezer. Continuous operation of the compressor indicates a problem. In this case, the refrigerator does not turn off and is constantly freezing, since the compressor works without respite and the refrigerator heats up significantly.
A fairly common reason why a refrigerator heats up is closely located radiators or heating devices. It is not recommended to install refrigeration equipment near radiators and a gas stove. To ensure sufficient air flow to the compressor, the distance from the equipment to the wall or furniture must be at least 15 centimeters. Poor heat transfer can lead not only to heating of the refrigerator, but also to breakdown of the compressor or other components of the refrigerator.
The cause of the refrigerator heating may be:
